Nigerian content creator Jarvis has opened up about a strange request her fiancé, Peller, once made — asking her to enter into a blood covenant with him to prove their commitment.

Speaking on The Honest Bunch Podcast, Jarvis said Peller got the idea from social media, where he saw stories about couples who had taken similar oaths.

Why Peller Wanted the Covenant

According to Jarvis, Peller explained that in such covenants, anyone who cheats after taking the oath would face serious consequences. He believed doing this would help strengthen their relationship and guarantee loyalty.

But Jarvis said no.

Her Reason for Rejecting the Idea

Jarvis explained that as a Christian, she only believes in one type of blood covenant — the one between believers and God. She said all other forms of blood oaths are not things Christians should practice.

She Trusts Peller Anyway

Even though she turned down the covenant, Jarvis made it clear she has no doubts about Peller’s loyalty. She said their relationship is built on trust, prayer, and genuine commitment to each other.

She added that Peller has never cheated on her, and she believes he never will — not because of any blood oath, but because of the promises and vows they have made to one another.

“He has not cheated on me before. If he cheats on me, he will die. That’s the rule of our relationship. We pray together, and that means God is involved,” she said.

Not a Literal Threat, She Explains

Jarvis clarified that when she said “he will die,” she wasn’t talking about an actual blood covenant. She meant the strength of the vows and oath they have already made between themselves.

She said their love, prayers, and trust in God are what keep the relationship strong, and she remains confident that nothing will come between them.
