Fast-rising Afrobeats artist Beryma is set to release his new single, “Cocoa Butter,” on 8 August 2026.
The song is expected to be another hit for the talented singer, who has been making waves in the Ghanaian music scene.
Beryma hails from Tafo in Kumasi and is known for his talent and versatility on stage. He was formerly known as Starboi TY before he rebranded to Beryma this year.
From Open Mic To The Big Stage
Earlier this year, Beryma took part in Ohemaa Blondie’s “Open Mic” competition, a contest that gives young and upcoming Ghanaian artists a platform to showcase their talent.
The competition, which was held at Corks Lounge in Osu, Accra, saw Beryma place third among the contestants.
The competition helped put his name out there, and he has since built on that momentum.
First Ever Concert In Tafo
On 3 January 2026, Beryma organized his very first music concert for the people of Tafo. The show turned out to be a huge success and became the talk of the town. Hundreds of people from Tafo and the surrounding areas thronged the venue to support him and enjoy his performance.
The concert showed just how much love and support Beryma enjoys from his hometown fans.
Building A Strong Catalogue
Before “Cocoa Butter,” Beryma released “Krokro Me,” a song that performed well on streaming platforms and also received good airplay on radio stations. The success of “Krokro Me” helped build anticipation for his next project.
About “Cocoa Butter”
Beryma describes “Cocoa Butter” as a timeless classic that he believes his fans will love.
The song is about his woman, whom he calls his “cocoa butter.” In the song, he talks about how she brightens his world and makes his life beautiful.
The song was written by Beryma himself. The instrumental was composed by Beats Vampire, also known as Craze, while London Rollit handled the mastering of the track.
With a growing fan base, a successful concert under his belt, and strong previous releases, Beryma looks set to continue his rise in the Ghanaian music industry.
Fans are eagerly waiting for “Cocoa Butter” to drop on 8 August 2026.
