Kailani Ibrahim Kpa, the Black Stars supporter known as “Powder Man,” has been arrested over an alleged visa fraud scheme.
He was picked up on Monday, August 24, 2026, at East Legon in Accra by officers from the Documentation and Visa Fraud Unit of the Ghana Police Service Headquarters.
A source close to the case says Kpa allegedly took thousands of dollars from several people after promising to help them travel to countries such as Canada, Nicaragua and the United States. The trips reportedly never happened, and he is said to have gone into hiding and become difficult to reach afterward.
Kpa shot to fame during the 2026 FIFA World Cup after a video of him blowing white powder into the air while cheering for Ghana went viral. The clip made him an instant favourite among Black Stars fans and earned him his popular nickname.
