Ghanaian singer Wendy Shay is confident she will win the Artiste of the Year award at the 2026 Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA).
The “Crazy Love” hitmaker made her feelings known in a post on X on Thursday, April 9, 2026, saying she has worked hard enough to deserve the top prize.
“I know everyone is aware that this year’s TGMA Artiste of the Year is me. Thanks to Ghana, SHAYGANG, media personalities, and all the artistes showing me love and advocating for me to win,” she wrote.
Wendy Shay also used the opportunity to reach out to fans of other big artists, urging them to throw their weight behind her at the polls.
“I urge fans of SM, Bhim Nation, Sark Nation, BYK, the Blacko Tribe, and every other fanbase to vote massively for me,” she added.
The singer faces stiff competition for the award. She will go head-to-head with Stonebwoy, Black Sherif, Medikal, Sarkodie, and Diana Hamilton — a strong lineup that makes the category one of the most exciting of the night.
Despite the tough competition, Wendy Shay says she is grateful for the love and support she has received from colleagues and fans alike, and believes it is her time to take home the big one.
The Telecel Ghana Music Awards is set to take place on May 9, 2026.
