Any Penis Size Can Satisfy a Woman, So Don’t Risk Your Life with Enlargement — Prof. Kyei

Renowned urologist, neurologist and surgeon Professor Mathew Yamoah Kyei, who consults at The Trust Hospital and Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, says most complaints men have about penis size are not about real physical problems but about how they think.

According to him, apart from a few cases caused by medical conditions or infections, the majority of men who feel they are “too small” are simply dealing with a mindset issue.

Speaking on penis enlargement procedures, Prof. Kyei explained that surgery can add some size, but usually comes with serious complications. He said a newer method using injections is now being used, but this also has its own risks.

“These injections only last between six months and a maximum of eighteen months. After that period, the person has to go back for another treatment,” he said.

He warned that when the procedure is not done properly, it can block veins that carry blood back to the heart, leading to collapse and, in extreme cases, death.

His comments follow the death of 43-year-old businessman Igho Ubiribo, who reportedly died from a pulmonary embolism after receiving a 40ml injection of hyaluronic acid and lidocaine at a clinic in Bangkok.

Prof. Kyei stressed that a botched enlargement procedure can also lead to permanent impotence, and insisted that going for the surgery purely for size is unnecessary.

“This kind of procedure is not common. Most of the people who go through it are patients who have suffered accidents or serious infections and need reconstructive surgery. Doing it just to get bigger is rare,” he said.

He added that women do not need an unusually large penis to be sexually satisfied, and that size should not be a reason for men to put their health at risk.

“For men, wanting a big penis is mostly about wanting to show off. It’s a mindset thing. Men should be content with what they have,” he said.

Prof. Kyei revealed that many men who go through with the procedure still end up dissatisfied with the results, which is why he continues to advise against it.

“There are men who go through the whole process and are still not happy with their size. That’s why I tell men not to waste their money on it,” he said.

He noted that doctors always try to talk patients out of the procedure unless it is medically necessary. However, for men who insist on going ahead despite the advice, strict consent forms are required to document that they understand the risks involved.

“Out of every 10 men, eight are unhappy with their size — not because it’s actually small, but because of how they see themselves,” he said.
