Ghanaian music icon Sarkodie has officially announced a massive international move for his flagship annual concert, Rapperholic, confirming that the 2026 edition will be held in London, UK, marking the first time the event has left Ghana.
The news dropped during fellow artist Fameye’s concert in London on November 9, 2025, where Sarkodie made a surprise appearance. Speaking to the electrified audience, the rap heavyweight promised an unforgettable show and assured fans that he plans to bring an all-star line-up.
“Next year, we are bringing Rapperholic here,” Sarkodie declared. “You’re going to see Sarkodie, Black Sherif, Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, R2Bees,” he stated, listing some of the biggest names in Ghanaian music, guaranteeing a spectacular showcase of African talent on the international stage.
This landmark international step follows a hugely successful and historic ‘Homecoming’ edition of Rapperholic held in Kumasi just a few months prior.
In September 2025, Sarkodie relocated the concert from its usual Accra venue to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on September 27. The move paid tribute to the city where his musical journey began, creating an enormous buzz. The anticipation built with street posters, viral rehearsal videos, and a high-profile health walk led by Sarkodie, culminating in him paying respect to the Asantehene.
The Kumasi event proved the unwavering dedication of his fanbase. Despite heavy rain that lasted nearly an hour, fans streamed into the stadium early, maintaining a high-energy atmosphere as they danced through the downpour.
