The National Ambulance Service (NAS) headquarters was filled with melodies and gratitude as the organization held its annual Nine Lessons, Carols, and Thanksgiving service to mark the end of 2025.

The event, hosted at the Service’s forecourt in Accra, served as a spiritual and social gathering for management, administrative staff, and Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) drawn from across the Greater Accra Region.

A major highlight of the evening was the official unveiling of the National Ambulance Service Choir.

The choir was inaugurated by the Chief Executive Officer Dr. George Kojo Owusu, who emphasized that the group was formed to foster a stronger social bond and esprit de corps within the emergency service provider.

In his keynote address, the CEO extended his appreciation to the staff for their tireless service throughout the year.

He urged the personnel to remain vigilant and prioritize their personal safety during the high-pressure festive season.

”As we move into the new year, unity remains our greatest asset. We must stand together as a cohesive unit to achieve our common goal of providing world-class emergency care to all Ghanaians,” the CEO stated.

The service followed the traditional Christian liturgical format, weaving together the narrative of humanity’s journey through faith.

Nine short readings from Genesis, the prophetic books, and the Gospels, tracing the story from the fall of man to the birth of Jesus Christ.

Each reading was followed by festive hymns and choir anthems, providing a platform for the newly formed choir to showcase their talent.

Beyond the religious significance, the service serves as a moment of reflection and thanksgiving for the lives saved and challenges overcome by NAS during the year.

The atmosphere was one of celebration and renewal as the National Ambulance Service looks forward to enhancing its operations in 2026.
